Navigon 2110MAX-For easy navigation!

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Navigon 2110MAXThe Navigon 2110MAX is basically a widescreen version of its predecessor, the 2110. This is only in terms of appearance as there are a few internal features that the Navigon 2110MAX has over its predecessor. Of these, the main one is the latest Navigator 7 software which makes entering your input even easier. Other assistant features in the Navigon 2110MAX include Reality View Pro and Lane Assistance Pro. You can buy the device with preinstalled European maps which makes your navigation possible as soon as you get your hands on it.

One of the best features of the Navigon 2110MAX is its appearance. The sleek, black finish has all its keys integrated easily into the casing with just enough raise to make it easy to find by just feeling all over the device. Even the TMC antenna has been built into the device in a way that it easily fits into the car charger with only a little cable.

The display of the Navigon 2110MAX is nice and bright, Measuring 4.3 inches diagonally and has a nice anti glare coating shielding the screen from sunlight pretty efficiently. Driving with the screen in daylight is easy and efficient. The user interface looks pretty normal as Garmin has not really worked on changing it from its predecessor. The only difference is that it runs faster and also has a picture viewer.

The menu icons expand when chosen to reveal a number of additional options. Similarly, you can also retract the options to reduce the clutter on the screen. Entering input into the screen is quite easy, though the addition of a physical QWERTY keyboard would have been a massive improvement. The “auto correction” feature does help as small mistakes can be corrected without any problem. To top it all off, you can use the Reality View Proto show a real time graphical representation of all the motorway lanes and exit lanes. Check up all the Navigon 2110MAX reviews online.

Navigon 8110-Ideal for anyone!

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Navigon 8110The Navigon 8110 is one in a series of models to be launched by Navigon to feature at the high end of the price spectrum. Gone are the days when these models were bulky and annoying. The new sleek, stylish devices are much more appealing as they are more compact.

As soon as you lay your eyes on the Navigon 8110, you will not be able to resist buying it as even the external packaging is very attractive. The sleeve alone shows all the important icons that will feature on the Navigon 8110. These along with the pre-installed mapping material, makes this device easy to use as soon as you get it. Other items that come in box include an active car mount, SD card, USB lead, carry bag and a charging adaptor.

Some of the key features of the Navigon 8110 include panoramic view, voice recognition, reality view, lane travel assistant, MP3 player and photo viewer. Unfortunately, you will have a problem with the voice recognition and the text to speech convertor if your first language is not English.

The external appearance of the device is excellent, as the stainless steel exterior looks very expensive. The only disadvantage of this is that it weighs in at a hefty 265 g which is quite a lot for a portable navigation tool. This is not something that you will be able to carry around in your pocket for sure! Anyway, the large 4.8 inch more than compensates for this additional bulk as it is both bright and clear. The edges of the device are also really nice, as they are slightly curved. The speaker grill is at the back of the device. The stylus stows away into the exterior of the device and can be used to control every millimeter of the device’s screen efficiently. Check out the range of Navigon 8110 reviews available online.

Never go wrong with Navigon Mobile Navigator

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

navigon-mobile-navigator-7No matter how advanced and pricey your car GPS, you still lose your way because of its limitations. Once your car is out of the city even just a couple of miles, you may lose your connection and finding your way around is just a matter of luck. But with Navigon MobileNavigator, your map is on your phone so no more lost highways or dead-ends.
TomTOm might have made the announcement ahead, but with the release of Navigon, TomTom has been beaten to the same pursuit of launching the first iPhone sat-nav application. The app works on 3G and 3GS phones and requires only the 3.0 software. Navigon’s sat-nav app takes full advantage of 3.0’s turn-by-turn navigation on your portable techie gear. Now, who needs a separate sat-nav when you can have it on your phone?
The Navigon MobileNavigator covers the whole of Europe, with only the UK version available for now. The rest of the world is, of course, looking forward to getting their hand on the sat-nav app. Elsewhere, Sygic Mobile Maps that has guided Aussie iPhone users claimed being the first turn-by-turn navigation application to hit the app store. But the point is who produced and released it first. Wink! Wink!
The Navigon MobileNavigator has full GPS – navigation installed in your iPhone, along with map materials. Have this sat-nav that has full, active route guidance, and it can now be said that you have the world in your hands, errr…. just UK and Ireland for the meantime.
If you see in the future a traveling expedition with friends, family or just your partner, the Navigon Mobile Navigator is a worthy investment. There’s a version that includes over 35 European countries at a price of only ₤ 65. The UK and Ireland versions at ₤ 38 is also out now.

Why pay for two gadgets when you can get it in one piece?

Navigon MobileNavigator and iPhone, a formidable duo.

Friday, July 24th, 2009

navigon-mobilenavigator-iphoneNavigon has again won yet another race to being the best choice among navigation gadgets. With the MobileNavigator App for iPhone recently released and now available at Apple’s AppStore, Navigon has again edged by miles its competitors.
Since the release of the iPhone 3.0 software, all other companies have stated their support for the updated platform that opens new possibilities, and Navigon just made its support concrete and comfy for a multitude of iPhone users.
The MobileNavigator is the first turn-by-turn navigation application in Europe with price pegged at £54.99. The device features, among others, landscape and portrait support, the much amusing and helpful Reality View Pro and that special function where users can auto-resume following a phone call. The latest addition to Navigon’s showcase of products also has 2D and 3D display features.
Many users and loyal Navigon followers are thankful for the auto-resume ability of the gadget. This is because iPhones are not made for multi-tasking. Hence, when one takes a call, a running application should be exited from whenever calls are being made or taken. But with the auto-resume feature, MobileNavigator will sure be the most preferred in the market.
The device also comes with Real Road sign pro, the Lane Assistant Pro, and the Speed Assistant which are remarkable guides to driving like a pro – and safely! The MobileNavigator also has the day and night mode among its key features where the driving and riding public can gain easier access whatever time of day they want to. Users can also get the options of displaying points of POIs along their routes.
Many Navigon device users are also eager for latest developments from the manufacturer after hearing that a free, lite version will be released soon, and will come without the active route guidance.
