Garmin continues to grow, launches Navigator IV motorcycle GPS nav

Launching the Navigator IV, Garmin’s navigation technology attached exclusive BMW specific features for the motorcycle-friendly GPS device based on its Zumo product. The next generation BMW Motorrad Navigator IV now comes in a customized mount, preloaded BMW dealer database, Bluetooth handling capacities and a very unique audio not found in any similar product.
BMW motorcycles are now provided with the GPS gadget with spoken turn-by-turn instructions while motorists enjoy a worry-less ride. The portable navigator with bright touch-screen display comes in a 4.3 navigator measurement, making it glove-friendly. The Navigator IV comes pre-installed with street maps and the points of interests already preloaded numbers to over 2 million, including restaurants, ATMs, hotels, gas stations and specific street addresses. After selecting a destination, the device simply calculates the best routes and gives turn-by-turn directions via voice prompt until the destination is reached.
Motorists can now have easier access to their trip information through the information page of the BMW Motorrad Navigator IV, including heading, altitude, speed and a customizable fuel gauge and range. Its routing capabilities are high-advanced, leading the motorists use correct lanes accurately, and guide them to most suited turns and exits. Surrounding buildings in some major metropolitan vicinity come in 3D transparent view with this new Garmin product.
The routes can also be shared via Bluetooth or by simply connecting the GPS to a computer and logging on to any online community of routes for motorcyclists. Owners can also plan routes ahead through Google or MapQuest and simply send these planned routes or POIs to the device before starting the journey.

This unit is specifically for motorcyclists and is tagged as Garmin BMW Motorrad Navigator IV. It has much advanced features that will aid motorists in their navigation and have stronger capabilities than its predecessors.
It could be noted that when GPS devices were just gaining interest from the public as an option for vehicles, they were mostly available for high-end luxury cars. But with the prices of these devices continuing to be lowered, many more vehicles and motorcycles now include GPS options.
