11194-mg9005sThe Citroen C5 goes from being the most sought-after family car for its large, powerful build, to being the most in-demand vehicle for its satellite navigation system revision.

The French carmakers announced that the Citroen C5 VTR+ has been renamed to VTR+NAV, paving way for the modifications installed in the new vehicle units. The satnav in the recently released Citroen cars now includes the 7-inch colored screen for a much more easy reading, and has all the clear maps of Europe’s major cities. The C5 VTR+NAV also comes with highly audible voice guidance, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity and live traffic information with route recalculation rendered free.

The VTR+NAV version fully integrates the MyWay navigation system, while updated and always-connected live traffic information is provided by the Trafficmaster PLC service. Both are free of charge and can be availed without the hassle of subscription requirements. Also, the MyWay provides drivers with auxiliary connectors to allow media players functioning in the car’s audio system.

These developments came in response to the increasing demand for an integrated navigation functionality to be among Citroen’s standard specifications. The existing equipment and excellent quality of C5, and the integrated additional features just helps Citroen zoom past its competitors, appealing to many more car buyers all over Europe and elsewhere.

As for the car, it now comes with two greener engines. The 1.6HDi 16V 110hp DPFS VTR+ NAV emits 140g/km of CO2, while the 2.0HDi 16V 140hp DPFS VTR+ NAV emits 153g/km of CO2, and both engines are available in both the saloon and tourer body styles. Truly, the new Citroen model is a solid choice for a family car as it is even more efficient, eco-friendly and comes with the very helpful satellite navigation systems. Not only is Citroen C5 one of the leaders of best-equipped cars, the manufacturers continue putting to the tables the most advanced modifications to cater to consumers needs.
