They see the GPS built-in to smartphones move as the major reason for PNDs continuing dwindle in users.

The Navman S50 delivers both affordability and an attractive design like many of the Navman products. A clear 4.3 inch wide-screen LCD includes an easy to use touchscreen, removing any need for physical buttons. The mount included is very neat as it sticks to your windshield even while crossing over the most rugged terrain and potholes. Included is an in-car charger that connects to the device via ups. There have been many complaints about connecting the S50 up to charge, but many claim the ‘jiggling’ method eventually works out the problem. Using the S50’s Bluetooth hands-free function is hit and miss with it’s unreliable connectivity issues. Various Navman S50 reviews around the internet have stated they ran into problems with their phones not pairing up with the S50.
Performance wise the Navman S50 is on par with many of its competitors in the GPS market. It comes preloaded with the most recent Sensis maps and runs off of the SiRFStar III chipset. If you are looking for a decent GPS device and don’t need a reliable Bluetooth function, than this could be the one for you.
